Date: To Be Announced
Venue: Red House Glass Cone Museum, DY8 4AZ
The premiere broadcast of Andy’s audiovisual piece VITRESCENCE will take place inside the last fully intact glass cone in Europe. The cathedral-like 100ft high free standing structure was designed to make the furnaces at its base burn hotter and was so large that glass blowers could work inside it.
VITRESCENCE literally means ‘becoming glass-like’. This will be the first audiovisual artwork ever to be made for the glass cone and will feature a 7:1 surround sound system to activate the unique acoustics of the site. This one-off event is free to the public.
